    As a leading enterprise in the domestic power industry, the power company has a large scale and highly interconnected business processes. Generating, transmission, sale, and consumption are closely linked, and data loss or business interruption in any part can have a severe impact on the entire system. However, traditional data center construction is often divided by administrative regions, resulting in incomplete construction of some regional disaster recovery centers and obvious blind spots in disaster recovery for small data nodes. In addition, during the actual construction of disaster recovery projects, not only is technical stability and controllability required, but also ease of unified management to reduce labor management costs.

    I2 Solution


    To address the above issues, Guodian Changzhou Power Generating decided to build a unified management platform for continuous protection of core data and business continuity. The solution is divided into two phases of construction. The unified management platform includes five functional modules, aiming to achieve multi-layered, multi-strategy, and full-domain data protection and management effects.

    Phase I Construction Objectives and Implementation Steps:

    • Site Survey and Grade Classification: Conduct a comprehensive survey of the existing data centers and classify them based on business importance and data sensitivity to provide a scientific basis for subsequent construction.
    • Basic Platform Construction: Build a basic unified management platform to enable all subsequent construction to be managed uniformly by the platform, improving management efficiency and response speed.
    • System Online Hot Migration: Use third-party migration tools to perform online hot migration of some systems that need to be migrated to the virtualization platform to ensure uninterrupted business continuity.
    • Continuous Protection of Business Systems and Data: Focus on the continuous protection of business systems and data, using advanced disaster recovery technologies to ensure system and data security.

    Phase II Construction Objectives and Implementation Steps: Based on Phase I, continue to expand the functional modules of the unified management platform to achieve continuous protection of core business and data.

    • Core Business Continuity Protection Module: Add continuity protection for core business systems to ensure rapid business recovery in the event of a disaster.
    • Core Database Dual-Active Module: Build a dual-active architecture for the core database to improve database availability and fault tolerance.
